hi.

you know the airport icon (the one showing the waves, that sits in the menu bar), it is black. i want to change the colour of this menu bar icon to orange (like it was in the first days of os x, and as it is now in many cases at apple's web site. how can it be done? i have no experience with unix, so if it involves terminal or whatever, pls be kind and tell me exactly how to do it.

thnx!

All you need is root access to your Mac and a Graphics editing Program.

    go to /System/Library/CoreServices/Menu Extras/Airport/Contents/Resources/

Edit the .tif images in there and save. Restart.

If you don't know, to get past the Airport file, right click and select show package contents to proceed to Contents/Resources.

You can just hold down ctrl and click, this will bring up the contextual menu
