Can I paint my new iMac?
Does anyone know if it would be a bad idea to paint my new iMac? Could this cause potential cooling problems because it is basically an extra layer (albeit, a thin one)? Any help would be great!
Thanks.

no, it's a fine idea. I found a Japanese site that gives you step by step instructions on painting it black. Lemme see if I can find it..
Also, if you're worried about cooling (which can be an issue in the iMacs), you might consider fitting a quiet fan with a resistor (reduce the voltage to reduce the rpms, which in turn reduces the noise level). If you do it right, you shouldn't be able to hear it over your hard drive, and it should help a lot.
