dimming and brigthening when asleep

is this normal? when i put my baby to sleep via the button on my ADC CRT 17" monitor, the white light of both the monitor and tower dims and brightens, dims and brightens, dims and brightens...

    totally normal. the light pulses to let you know it's asleep and not off. just looked better than a flashing light.
