Yes. I need a machine that will allow for 2 gig files (tiff's usually) and rendering. I'd like two processors (1.4 to 1.6 Ghz PPC would be fine but I'd take more), 333 mhz DDR, 64-bit processor ( to get up to 4 gigs of memory), ATA 133 (and a HD that could use it) faster graphics drawing ( at least they added write combining to the cards last January) and another cinema display ( got one).
Oh, and a high speed internet connection (no cable and >18,000 feet from the phone building) would really be nice so I can update the apple software (30 Mb for printer drivers?? no wonder Apple canned the floppy drives)
Yeah, yeah let's care about spelling in a useless barbaric dialect, please!!
TRÜNSKEN TUBEN BAHEN!!! Look I am speaking german!?
Hahaha! -) I guess you saw Chaplin's "The Great Dictator"?
Have you ever cared about learning a civilized language? Probably latin? french? spanish? italian? portuguese? rumanian?
Ummm... Since Germany is the economically most powerful country in Europe it is rather the fact, that many french, spanish, italian, portuguese, and especially rumanian people tend to learn indeed G e r m a n.

so, is dell still getting that $250,000 now?

We'll see...
I'm guessing no, but i'll have to see what the 3U RAID boxes specs are like.
Fortunately, too, the hardware costs scared the client a little and they've backed away from needing to do *everything*:
The hardware is now a much more palatable $45,000.
And yes: Apple's getting it--IF they can get it to me in time.
I'm hearing scary things about "late june" and I need two new webservers in here late next week.

From an economic viewpoint, I guess they do.
But the guy did say 'civilised'...
Lemon Bon Bon
when will such a machine exist? I remember when apple made computers like this. Full size towers with all the goodies.
