El Gato's Eye TV

Has anyone looked at Eye TV from El Gato Software?

It seems like an interesting item,I went to their website and it's $179 ($20 off during MWNY).

The only thing that bothers me is that there is no telephone # for contact or support.

How can a company expect you to order something for close to $200 without even being able to call them?

I e-mailed them the other day but so far have not received a reply.

Has anyone actually seen this at Macworld?

First off, EyeTV is hardware. What's up with the flame?

Anyhoo, I looked at it today. And I'd feel more compelled to buy it if it was on a PCI card. I'm trying to reduce clutter around my workstation.

Furthermore, I think something else will come along that offers better than MPEG1 (320x240) and USB--especially with MPEG4 out now.

Surely at a lower bit rate (MPEG4) they can boost the resolution to 640x480. I'll wait.
