I'm looking to upgrade my PowerMac Ram from 512MB to 1.5GB. I have a Dual 1Ghz PowerMac. Whats the most dependable, and fastest ram that I can get for about $230 a stick?

check coast 2 coast memory or mowhawk memory.

mowhawk often carries apple brand RAM for only a few bucks more than the generic stuff.

plus they actually know what they're talking about.

    i think they're at <a href="http://www.mowhawkmem.com"; target="_blank">www.mohawkmem.com</a> or something like that.

Apple brand memory? I thought apple just bought their memory from Crucial?

In any case, Corsair, Crucial, Mushkin, Micron, and Samsung all make very good memory. Go to pricewatch and find the cheapest price, and make sure it's a reputable dealer by checking at resellerratings.com if you haven't heard much about them before.

Remember, there is no such thing as "Apple memory"...the same stuff is used for both platforms.

BTW, just in case you didn't know (I assume you did), you'll want PC133 DIMMs.
