Anyone know a public DNS server address

The DNS server at work is down. as much as I love Appleinsider I'd like to be able to go other places, does anyone know a DNS server address I can use to tide me over?

    We seem to lose the DNS Servers a lot around here (Kentucky, serviced by Alltel, formerly Verizon). Any other Alltel Customers having these issues?
