There is a special store <a href="http://store.apple.com/Apple/WebObjects/ADC?qprm=38839"; target="_blank">here</a> which you make the purchase from just like you would for the educational discount. You can find ADC student <a href="http://developer.apple.com/students/"; target="_blank">here</a>.

    On another note:

RTFM is for elitist a-holes, that think they are better b/c THEY read the manual and you didn't. If I asked you what War and Peace was about would you tell me RTFBook if you had read it? That kind of defeats the purpose if I'm asking about the book to decide if I want to read it or not, now doesn't it? Dumbass. Oh and go <a href="http://www.penny-arcade.com/images/2002/20020712l.gif"; target="_blank">here</a>

oopss.... i meant the educational program.......

reason i'm asking is, i would like to sign up, and order jaguar. but i want jaguar on the day it comes out. if i order @ the apple store i'd have to wait for shipping, if i get it at my nearby apple retail store, i can get it THAT day

btw: what does rtfm [or wutever it was] stand for?

You can get the discount at the retail store. All you need is validation, like a student ID.

Paul, duhhhhh. You can only get discounts on items that are marked for discounts. Academic editions of software are often given their own part numbers from the manufacturer. Apple cannot sell you a full retail version of Microsoft Office v.X at the academic price. The two products are distinct.

However, anything you find on the Apple Store Online that is discounted and also in the retail store will be eligible.

The only difference is that you have to be a student or academic to buy them. No difference in features at all, I use them both.
