is there a way to disable the onboard video in a beige g3? Running OSX 10.1.5. I added a radeon 7000 pci and the video isn't accelerated 'cause the only way to get it to run with only one display attached is by mirroring the video.
Ha! No kidding. Just for the hell of it, I added a second monitor. Belive it or not, it worked. No, the second is not accelerated, but the main screen seems to be. I also got DVD to B-A-R-E-L-Y work on the second monitor. (Still not acceptable, and seems to be software-based somehow)
Hm, works fine on my Beige... I don't have to connect anything to the ATI Rage 2+, only my radeon pci, and it works perfectly... its accelerated too (can tell by window dragging). Dual monitors work fine too, though the Rage isn't really accelerated.
Dunno, try hitting the CUDA button or something? Make sure nothing is plugged into the Rage slot (like one of those monitors)...
Why stop at 2 monitors... I hooked up 3, and have an extra S-Video port. I ran out of small TV's though. Only have a projector left, and it won't fit in the picture.

So, to answer your question. Plug your monitor into the ATI 7000 card and ignore the other port.
