Arghhh Sleepy Slave Drive

How do i prevent my slave drive from falling asleep ?

when it sleeps it takes time to spin up before i do any file browsing or empty the "Trash"



any help it's drivig me crackers

    Look in the Energy Saver control panel.

    There are jumpers on some drives, (I think IBM), that allow the drive to sleep. One jumper is Master/Slave/CS, the other is 5min/30min/no sleep.

    I had the same problem with a drive. Turned out to be my IBM drive going bad.

    The Energy controll does not do it ( tried already) it is a wester digital drive.
