opening a .doc file

someone sent me a .doc file that i need to read.. i don't have MSword and i was unable to search appleinsider, dang search engine..



surely, there must be a way that i can open a .doc file on my mac! <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />

    depends which mac... if you got a consumer model rather than a Ti or Tower, try <a href="http://www.apple.com/appleworks/"; target="_blank">Appleworks </a>
