Not entirely true, Ebby: My Performa 6400 boots off of my OS9 CD without a hitch.
Cutler: Which method are you using to attempt your boot; are you holding down the C on the keyboard, or are you selecting the CD from the Startup Disk control panel? Because if one doesn't work, the other might.
OK, I've been shot down before, but I just recently tried to boot to OS9 on a 8100, Quadra 650, and Beige G3. Only the G3 worked with OS9 for me. I know this for a fact. :cool:
(It may have something to do with the amount of ram in the machine)
