Webcam recordings always end up a bit embarrassing because there's nobody there to reply. It looks like Digitimes is up to no good. Here's another article:

    http://www.digitimes.com/news/a20130423PR201.html

"Samsung takes 30% of global smartphone market in 1Q13, says DRAMeXchange...

As for Apple, the iPhone 5 has been unable to satisfy consumers' desire for innovation, and shipments were unsatisfactory as Android manufacturers have stepped up to the plate.

The Cupertino company shipped a mere 37.5 million units in the first quarter, giving them 17.3% market share, a decrease of 1.2% from the previous quarter.

Turning to China's smartphone market, Samsung is the leading brand in terms of both reputation and image, a fact reflected in the manufacturer's sales figures."

Not only are they misreporting sales figures (Apple sold 37m in 2012 and 48m in 2013) but hyping Samsung at every opportunity. Even despite their own facts that suggest Samsung isn't really doing that well in other areas:

A leading brand with just 3.9% vs 71.6%? This goes a long way to explaining a lot of the negative stories that have been coming from unnamed insiders in the supply chain. Apple has a ~20% marketshare in the phone industry vs 30% for Samsung and Apple doesn't sell cheap phones and they dominate the tablet market. I doubt this will stop bloggers quoting Digitimes as it's usually click-bait anyway but it at least shows their true colors. Hopefully AI will refer to them from now as 'rarely accurate, Samsung shill Digitimes'.

Given that they're being paid off to lie, I would expect AppleInsider to refuse to publish so much as their NAME anymore, much less repost their articles.

We had enough reason to demand that before; AI has no excuse not to do it now.
