ok, so i was rebooting my g4 to a diff. partitoin, and after 10 min of trying to shut down, i came back to it only to see that it was still trying. i saw that the dock was still there, so i launched the terminal and typed sudo shutdown now -r so that it would reboot. instead of rebooting, it sent me to single user mode, so i typed exit, and this is what spewed onto my screen. i had never seen it before, and i didnt think it looked good.

i grabbed my digital camera and took a pic:

Is that a kernal panic? I can't say I've never had one. Maybe you killed Aqua, and now your seeing the command line?

no, this is the result of me going into single user mode and typing exit. normally this brings you to the login window, but it didnt, it looked like it tried to, but this was all that came up

That almost looks like a page fault to me. I don't see how that's possible though. In single mode is protected memory on or off. If it's off then I think it's a page fault.

weeeeeee! have i got issues. ok, so i booted into another partition and ran disk util on my normal boot disk. not suprisingly, it came up w/ errors it couldnt fix. i dont have norton or drive 10, but would either of those fix these errors?
