Returning under warrenty...
I went to the Square Apple store in London to replace an iPod remote and the headphones that came with it.
I was told by the manager to register my iPod via the website, tell apple about the problem and get a replacement via the apple website....
My only problem is... I have no idea how to do this.....

As for registering, go to <a href="http://register.apple.com" target="_blank">http://register.apple.com</a> to register the iPod.
I speak as my iPod languishes in Amsterdam following a fairly terminal attack of the Sad iPod Icon.
The only plus is that, even though it's over a year old, Apple seem to think it's under warranty...
Matsu, in answer to your question, the manager of the apple store in london says a replacement will come through far quicker via the website than if I go through the store. I will ring him on monday to say that I can't do it, hopefully he'll sort it out then.
He couldn't help me immediately, so he even knocked off £10 off an iPod cary case, which was nice.
