Apple Video Adapter

    Part no. M8639G/A is compatible with both iBook and iMac G4.

    Sorry I forgot that apple store links die. The part I am refering to is the M8734G/A it connects to the mini vga port and supplies an s-video and an rca video plug for video out.

    No, part no. M8734G/A will only work with iBook (Dual-USB and later).



    The port on these iBooks is a combination VGA/S-Video/Composite port whereas the port on iMac G4 and eMac is VGA only.

    Is there any other way to get video out on a 17" imac? what I am trying to do is hook up a small tv so I can see what stuff looks like on it before I burn a dvd.
