Cleaning the screen
Hey hey all... This certainly isn't a 'genius' calibur question, but how do I go about cleaning the screen on my iBook? I don't want to mess anything up as it seems like it might absorb some of the cleaning agent... My manual only talks about cleaning the case and online support says read the manual. Any Suggestions?

I just spray my whole TiBook with window cleaner and it does a fantastic job in cleaning the computer screen/keyboard etc

Er... I use Windolene on the screen of my TiBook, and no complaints.
I know I shouldn't.

Yep! It works great!!!
Its available at Apple retail stores and online from several vendors.
Use a good cloth though, no tissue paper.
Do NOT and I repeat do NOT spray Windex directly onto your LCD screen.
I did this to my dads Pismo and somewho some of the liquid got "sucked" up in behind or inside or the display and created big wet spots. Eventually they went away, but were replaced my mildew.
Ive learned my lesson, and now spray the cloth instead of the the screen...
All household cleaning agents ,including windex, will leave a residue on the screen which can build up over time.
To be on the safe side, buy a MicroFibre cleaning cloth (you can get these cheaply, a lens cleaning cloth is good) and dampen it lightly with clean water then clean screen with mininal pressure.
Use a dry Microfibre cloth to wipe and finish.

For cleaning screen use a cotton cloth, but make sure that you may not use any liquid. Because it make spots on the screen. Just scrub it with light hands.
