Running command at startup?
Due to a bug in my router's autoselect function, I need to force my PowerMac into 100Mb full-duplex mode every time I start the machine up (it defaults to half-duplex, which causes problems when accessing other parts of the network). If I run the command [code] sudo ifconfig en0 media 100baseTX mediaopt full-duplex </pre><hr></blockquote> from the terminal after startup, the machine runs properly on the network, but I hate having to type the command in every time I start the machine up. Does anybody know how to automate this process? I rememeber hearing about a file that I can add commands to so that they will be run at startup, but I don't know anything about the file. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

FAQ article at BroadbandReports.com to an installer that will install a blank startup item to which you can add your ifconfig command (and anything else you want) - use pico to edit it.
