Dead iMac
A friend has this problem with his iMac (in his own words):
"Loaded up OS X.2 and during install the the screen went black although I could
still hear the disc drive. Turned off and on again and the iMac booted up in X but
the screen was very dark and green-coloured. Booted up again and the screen
didn't respond at all, although I could hear the hard drive booting up. Now, this
happens every time I switch on - no picture but plenty of sound."
What is to be done? Any ideas?
I think it's 350 MHz iMac (without a VGA port).
