Roaming is free on Sprint. Most roaming is on Verizon so whenever you don't get Sprint coverage you can still use the entire Verizon footprint which can be handy when you are way out in the boonies with no town for miles which is where Verizon shines. But you are never charged for roaming. If you consistently have excessive roaming of data every month for several months in a row they just cancel your contract without any ETF.
Of course wifi isn't counted, not sure why you would ask that question.
Not completely familiar with how Sprint works from a billing perspective. and I did not word that well - I didn't mean to imply that they would charge you for using WiFi - but that WiFi was a separate consideration from Cellular charges.
AT&T honors your rate plan without modification. So if you have unlimited data you can opt to keep it for life. However they throttle your data speed after 3GB using 4GLTE or 5GB using 4G/HSPA+.
Verizon forces you to switch plans if you upgrade your phone. I'm not sure if they throttle.
Both AT&T and VZW are pushing very hard to switch to their Share Everything/Mobile Share Plan.
This Sprint promise sounds good initially. But my question is will they be able to raise the price, based on market value, to keep this option?
Before the end of August, the other two cell phone companies in the country that actually matter will have also done this.
You watch.
Yes but there small data caps for life will still exists, meaning with market current changes in 20 years or so your 3 gb today is about 300 mb then allowing them to keep the prices, sprint does not cut off.

How could they if they no longer offer unlimited? They follow one another almost exclusively not what the smaller carriers do.
I used almost 20GBs last month and was not throttled nor given a warning of any kind.
