Backup Apple Script...

OK- so I've been looking for a free program to backup my internal hard drive to my external firewire hard drive.



Well- backup from Apple doesn't support extenral drives- how stupid.



Anyway- is there any way I could maybe use Apple Script and Apple Script Studio to create my own backup software?



I don't really know anything about apple script but I'm willing to learn.

    can apple script be scheduled to run at a specific time? And can it wake the compter from sleep?

    What does he mean by "local users folder" would that just be the folder that I want to backup?

    Watch what you're saying. I'm just providing information, but I have never used this AppleScript myself.



    but I think with 'local user folder' he means ~

    also /Users/yourshortusername/
