And it's smart. Samsung may be an apple wanna be, but I don't know how much I'd trust google either. And they realize they can control their own destiny instead of watching Google goofing off with google glass and chromebooks.
Agree. If Google can, it will screw Samsung in a heartbeat.
What's the point? What developer would want to limit their apps only to Samsung devices when the Android ecosystem is so much bigger?
Ones that like bagds of money. Since devs re barely making ends meet developing for Android, Samsung may have some leverage in this area. Userbase means nothing if you cant monetize those consumers. Since Android users have shown by and large to be averse to spending any money at all on apps, Samsung can probably throw cash around to guarantee exclusivity.
Now introducing Samsung OS , looks like IOS 6 on steroids to bring more power to the user "another stab on google but still only two exsist, apple and google themselves with apple having much better with Samsung fail.
By the way apple has done it 30 something years and google a few, Samsung working on first?

Is Samsung launching a competitor to Google Play?
I would guess that's the idea.

That would be flagrant copying! The new name is Sapple.
