Webcam crashes when it sees a barcode.
Okay, this is really starting to freak me out now.
I have a QuickCam Express that I got free several years ago, and I tried using it with macam this morning. It worked. But, as I was panning it around, I passed across this barcode I have pinned on my wall. Suddenly the image froze on that frame and stopped updating.
So I tried it again. Same thing. Every time, on this one barcode alone, it does this. I tried it on several other barcodes lying around, didn't do anything out of the ordinary.
So, I recorded a video showing it happen.

It still does it.
I have absolutely no idea what could cause that crash. Did you try moving or obscuring the poster to make sure it was that, and not some freak bug in positioning, that was causing the crash?
