So this movie is only going to cover the 70s through 2001?
The TNT movie from 1999 covered the 70s through 1999. Although it did skip the NeXT years entirely. It will be interesting to see how the movies compare.

No...the trailer shows the iPhone introduction, so it has to cover at least through June, 2007.

when I watch the trailer that's playing on TV and the video segment above, I only hear Kutcher's usual voice, I see nothing unique about his walk and while most of the makeup looks good, the makeup he's wearing in the iPhone introduction segment looks like a bad Saturday Night Live makeup, which is purposely meant to look funny.

I felt the same way. The difference with Noah Wyle is the focus wasn't on trying to make the visuals match, they just told compelling story:

If you focus on the visuals and even get them slightly off, it looks like a comedy parody. The part where he's pretending to be emotional delivering the Think Different audio isn't even close. Steve's version is this:

which is nothing like the end of the trailer:

It still looks as though it will have some powerful scenes though and I like that the story is being retold for a modern audience. People are fed so much misinformation about Apple that they have an inbred hatred towards the company and everything it stands for. If Ashton Kutcher can help sort that, it's all for the better.

I would have had Noah Wyle (again) or Christian Bale ( with some make up of course ) play Steve Jobs. Steve was a complex guy. Nothing about Ashton is complex, he's all looks and humor. You cannot take the guy seriously. He's horrible and you can tell his acting is gimmicky. I am very disappointed with this movie and it will fail. It'll make a few dollars, but ONLY because it's about Steve and Woz. I'll watch it, but I'm not feeling good about it. I'll wait for Sorkin to do a better job.

It's hard for me to take Ashton Kutcher seriously... I can't help it, every time I see him all I see is Kelso.
