iMovie 3 crashes at end of export

I have a 20 minute project that I have tried to export to a file. Once an AVI and the other time in to an MPEG 4. Each with custom settings.

After waiting HOURS for encoding, as it gets to the end, whammo, iMovie 'unexpectedly' quits. The file produced is unfinished and unusable.

WTF?

Hah, good luck trying to get someone to answer a question about iMovie crashing. I asked a similar question three times in the last week (iMovie has an error -36 while importing) and not one person responded.

Well, this makes it four times. Anyone know the problem with iMovie quitting on export, or giving an error -36 on import?

This is probably a stupid question, but you do have enough space left on the destination disk, right?

Mmmkay, well that's what I figured anyway... I'll just have to look other places. Maybe someone at the Apple discussion forums will know, or maybe it's at some other online resource. It at least feels good to get some acknowledgement!
