WatchESPN on iPad gets dual-stream viewing, Digg app gets 'Unread' mode
The WatchESPN app for iOS received an update on Thursday that adds a new way to watch in-app content, while Digg's RSS reader for iOS added features like a new "Unread" mode.
The new update for WatchESPN brings the app to version 1.7, and gives iPad owners access to a new Live Toolbar. Users can now stream scores and on-demand videos from sporting events at the same time that they're watching live programming on ESPN.
The Live Toolbar includes ESPN's TV lineup, scores from games, and top videos. It's available on the iPad and iPad mini only.
The update also allows users connecting from colleges and military networks to get access to ESPN3 events automatically. Additionally, it adds compatibility with ESPN on ABC events and compatibility for devices running iOS 7.
Version 1.7 of WatchESPN is available as a free download in the App Store. The 9.0MB download requires an iPhone, iPod, or iPad running iOS 6.0 or later.
In addition to those major additions, the update brings improved scrolling performance, added readability support, and the ability to delete feeds and folders.

The iOS app for Digg's RSS reader service saw an update on Wednesday, bringing it to version 5.1. The update adds a new "Popular" section that delivers the best articles from a user's subscription, as well as the ability to view only unread items in one's stream.In addition to those major additions, the update brings improved scrolling performance, added readability support, and the ability to delete feeds and folders.

I can't wait till sports leagues negotiate a break from the networks. I would watch every golf tourney Tiger is in...or all the Formula One races...or the tennis majors (start to finish) but I will be GD'd if I will give a cable company $150/mo!

time warner and comcast both have packages that start at $90 a month for internet and TV
I knew the US prices for TV are outrageous, like mobile, but this is really shyte to read. Over here we pay €17/m for the regular channels, government and commercial, and add €4/m per category, so in your case €21/m. Add many of the other HD categories and I don't think you can go beyond €35-40/m. Except for HBO, that one is expensive at €15/m add-on.
