I feel quite like an outsider here. I still haven't gotten one. So the number is still three.

    MAN OH MAN!

Have you seen her in Boston Public? Those tight jeans... :yum:

    Back on track... :o

I would have one if it had a bigger HD...I am not two thirds through my CD collection and already have more than 6 GB worth of tunes...no sense buying it if I cannot have all of them on there with room to spare...

I don't have one and could have gotten one for Christmas... but my 2 year old Rio500 is fine for now.

    Too bad for me, huh...

EiGhT! Basically, if Apple makes it I seem to buy it sooner or later. This time its sooner. Mine's a Christmas present from wifey-poo. She knows nothing of computers except that I love all things Macintosh. She told me to go get one for myself for Christmas but that she'd wrap it up until the 25th. Hehehe, I gave her an empty box to wrap and have been secretly playing with my iPod for two weeks now. Of course I'll have to explain myself come Christmas Day, but when she gets her present I have a feeling all will be forgiven. If a man's stomach is the route to his heart, its diamonds for a woman. After putting up with me for 13 1/2 years she deserves something extravagant.

my friend has one! Another interesting story to go with this: his Combo Drive iBook has been delayed for 3 WEEKS!!! Anyone have a lead as to why?

That's weird - the Apple Store still says 1-3 days for a combo drive iBook...

Number 11...Treating mine like a little baby, had it nearly a month and not a scratch on it...

About the scratch thing... these things are SOOOO scratch-prone it's unreal! I had mine for less than a day and it had several light scratches on it.

In fact, I was looking at it after taking it out of my winter jacket's inside pocket, and thought I saw a scratch. I wiped it straight up and down once, then in a semi-circle with the side of my pinky finger, and guess what? I had scratches going straight up and in an ark exactly where I had just rubbed.

Turns out I had some rough skin on that finger I didn't know about... (I completely forgot about my manicure appointment... )

For the next half day, all I could do was think about that damn scratch.

So, I sold the thing! (as used, and I did disclose that "you can tell it's been used - it's been in and out of my pocket a few times") Turns out these are extremely hard to get in parts of Canada right now.... which was good for me!

I bought it for $572 CDN (I get great deals from a reseller I buy all my Macs from) and sold it for $585. OK, so I lost a few bucks on tax... but I made up for part of it with shipping - it ended up being less than we thought it would be.

So I'm getting a second chance on a scratch free iPod for about $20 CDN. What's the first thing I'm going to do?

    BUY A CASE.
