Dude, you need to relax. A picture of an iPhone with no wallpaper seems sketchy to me as well. Have you seen the leaked pictures of the "red" or pink 5Cs? I remember the wallpaper on that picture is horribly plain pink, just like how this is plain black. I'd assume that picture was fake because it simply was horrible.
You are simply trying to continue something that ended in another threat. Relax and enjoy the Apple show.

He didn't do so after his endless diatribes about how Apple would never release a smaller iPad, so why would you expect him to do so now?

If this is a Quick Start guide (which it appears to be), it's understandable that there's no wallpaper. I think that past QuickStart guides have also not had wallpaper.

Yeah, if it's a quick start guide, it makes sense. But remember these? Oh god. They're horrible. I hope to god these aren't real. The packaging can't have a wallpaper-less iPhone. These may seem real, but I think its fair for people to think they are possible NOT real.
Is there anything we don't know about the new iPhone? What I see is a bunch of hardware information but less about the deep integration solutions. The Apple USP is the integration, not just a piece of hardware.
Yah, all I've really heard so far is the finger print thing and faster. The finger print thing strikes me mostly as gimmicky. Mobile phones have gone through the 'PC evolution' in only a few years time. In the early days new ones were substantial improvements, and now they just kind of do what they do and keep getting a little faster. That's pretty much where phones are. The S4 was pretty much a snooze. Faster with some new gimmicks (hands free is nice for gloves/cold weather- but still pretty much a gimmick). The Note 3 is pretty similar. Ditto iPhone 5s unless they come up with something truly new. zzzzzzZZZZZZZZ
Somebody make a phone that paints my house and washes my car already....
They're identical to the releases were seeing for the 5S. I'm guessing those will be the packaging and they'll be great in person for the market they're appealing to. My 19 year old niece would flock to that packaging over an eloquent 5S. She also bought a 4 last week because it was free with her upgrade (which I made her take back and wait for this release).
If you don't like the 5C packing- it's because it isn't marketed to you.
Even though we've had hardware leaks- we never have software- and we always get great integration. Can't wait to see how this works WITH iOS
Instead of "Touch ID" how about something a little more imposing sounding ...like "Falangial Authentification and Registration Terminus" ... or F. A. R. T. for short? ... come to think of it, maybe "Touch ID" ain't so bad after all!

Everything. Tell us what we "know". How much RAM? What processor? How about the cameras? Maybe the size and weight. How about other hardware and software features? What telephony chip is it using?
Now prove you know any of that. We know THAT there will be a new iPhone.

Touch ID? Terrible name. Very un-Apple-like.
Short for "Touch Identification". Sounds cool than fingerprint scanning. Some people get paranoid hearing a fingerprint.
I guess safari on Mac books and Apple TV should have exclusive streaming.
