Of course, if you found the paragraph on Gazelle useful then there is no conflict of interest, adding it got them money and it made the article better.

But the key point here was that most people did not find it that useful, otherwise the question about any conflicts would not have been asked and discussed.

Usefulness is not a measure of conflict. Was the information in the article compromised, or could it have been compromised, due to the relationship of the affiliation? And that answer is NO!

Frankly, I do not expect any major changes to the iPad mini, especially no Retina display upgrade. It's unnecessary as a lower priced iPad option which effectively replaced the low-end first-gen iPad.

How can you even say that? People were surprised when the iPad mini came WITHOUT the retina display so why wouldn't they do that? All of apples products with a display are moving to retina. That's just how it is. The iPad mini needs it too. If they don't do that then it isn't even worth being called an iPad Mini 2.

Do you think the Mac Mini will have a retina design if they come out with a new model now?

    could be...

They still have got news to cover

they might announce a news service on apple tv and the i watch and i phone. You can choose from different free and paid news sources. From that it's an easy path to other paid tv/film content.

Or they will make a thin mobile phone with a front (cover) like the shell models. So the touchscreen stays keyscratchfree. A reason for some not to buy a touchscreen phone.

or they make holo tv possible from out of your watch. :)

An updated Thunderbolt monitor would be nice. Will have to look into the Airport Express and see what that is.

Got a huge budget and want to unload it at the Apple store.

I really hope there will be an option to order the mac pro on tuesday. Eager to know what options you can choose from. And what price range.  I guess price will be something like model 1: 1700 euro , model 2: 2600  euro, model 3 (the pricy but for most video people desired one which can be an option) 3500 euro and model 4 (the really desired but not affordable one) 4900 euro and model 5 with every option possible only for big studios 7200 euro.

I am personally waiting for software updates even more than hardware. I recommend reading this article on software updates that could be announced on October 22. http://eldartech.com/news/october22software

If you're going to join an internet forum just to pimp your own website you may want to consider writing something more engaging than telling us to all go there to read what you have to say.

I would love to see an ATV with an app store!
    And Amazon Prime...
And a way to access and play video on a Mac but not within iTunes.

That is part of the fun.  Nothing wrong with it, IMO.

What to expect from Apple's Oct. 22 event:

A bunch of top class products from apple and a bunch of iHaters moaning about things that don't exist.

It's funny how the haters claim they used the product on release day meaning they stood in line for it even though they hate it.

To be fair to morons, Apple Stores have demo units out on launch day, too.

Doesn’t say much for someone to take time and go to a store of a company he hates to use products he hates, though. <img class=" src="http://forums-files.appleinsider.com/images/smilies//lol.gif" />

    Yes, and no.

I would hope that nobody blindly loves every Apple product.  To do so would allow Apple to lower their design threshold.  We need to keep high expectations of them and if they don't meet the expectations they need to hear it.   Take iOS7.  I hate it.  Period.  I think they screwed up.  I have given them feedback and hope that the next release (8) is an improvement.  By not liking iOS7, am I an iHater?  Tell that to my five iDevices.

There will be a lot of people screaming Failnote and the usual crap, but there will also be genuine Apple fans who will find some fault with the design and they should be free to say so.

That said, design is a tough call and Apple makes decisions about what will sell, not necessarily make everybody happy.  They have shown that they are willing to tick off a group of users or two (final Cut Pro X, anyone?).

Herer's another opportunity to see how accurate KGI's analyst Mingchi Kuo is. He's predicting a slimmer and lighter iPad 5, down to 7.5mm thick and 20% lighter at 500g in weight. He also believes the camera will go to 8MP and of course includes a 64 bit processor. What won't it have? A fingerprint reader.

I am talking about the absolute trolls who bash apple products because they are paid to/they don't have a life.

I was EXPECTING top class products from apple and EXPECTING dumb trolls to bash it for some unreal  reason.

"you still don't have an IR blaster"

"you still can't make your icons look like unicorns"

    those trolls.

Gotcha.  Yeah, those trolls are out there.  Sadly, they are many.

A year ago or so, just before  something was released, we had a thread here on AI that was a pre-emptivve list of teh complaints about the new item.  Was great fun, and easy to toss together!
