Applications likely to see 'Rendezvous' integration?
With the imminent release of iTunes 3.X to include Apple's Rendezvous technology I was wondering if people have any ideas as to other applications that will see the integration of this technology.
Are we likely to see it in Quicktime 6? The ability to share movies easily over a network would presumably be useful.
How about simple things like screensavers, desktop pictures and other system elements.
I guess what I want to know is what will be the extent of this technology, will my mac network eventually have a 'hive mind' where all macs can share all information and resources?
The mac collective?

That would be kind of cool if they used Rendezvous in some sort of clustering technology where Macs in the same office would automaticly share resources when the CPU or memory is taxed.

I think this is a very cool notion, and may somehow be related to the xGrid thing as well.

Having it that you can boot a user off another computer (Like X Server)...useless though
I think Screen Savers may become big... iPhoto (once they speed it up) and iCal (once they speed it up)..and the nonexistent iBrary to share iBooks or whate'er
hmm.....
that is all i can think of now
someone should make a Rendezvous enabled picture browser, and if someone else has theirs on, they can search each others...hey!...patent pending!

That really needs to be the name of a band or something. Maybe a mac-based distributed computing project?
