I am thinking of geting this cam

It's the Pentax 330GS has anyone got it? what do you think?



I want to get the most for my money and for it's price it does look good....what do you think?

    i have one, its small and takes great pictures. battery is small....and doesnt last long like 40mins . check out the steve-digicam site...more info.

    I have one too, last years Optio330, like it a lot, the case is strong and solid metal, super intuitive to handle, except the battery is a poor little thing. it should have twice the power, at least. About the price I can only tell you that I bought mine a year ago for approx. 1000 Euros. The only thing I regret is not buying the 430 with 4Mpxls which cost "only" 200 E more. Pentax has a good reputation here in Europe, they're not leaders, they're ok (hope not offending anyone!?). I also considerd a model from Kyocera I don't remember. But Kyocera uses a own storage-medium, what I disapproved.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, as I haven't followed it much, but Pentax doesn't make their own digital cameras, do they? So i wouldn't put a lot of faith into the Pentax name if that is the case. Pentax makes solid film cameras, but I think they do the same thing Leica does with their digital cameras: hire someone else to build it and slap their logo on it.



    Not saying it is a bad camera, I don't know anything about it. Just saying it probably isn't a case where you want to put all your faith into the brand name...

    M3D i'm not puting my money on pentax becuase of the brand name but becuase for the money you spend you get alot where with the same money on other brands they cut things out of them....or ask for $100 more for the same things this pentax 330GS model has....if anyone knows another brand for around the same price then PLEASE post.....as for the thing about someone else makeing the cams for them and slaping there name on it is news to me too.....
