DJ mixes on iPod
i have yet to get an iPod for lack of fundage; but i also want to know:
how does the iPod perform when listening to DJ mixes and big files?
i.e. separate 5-6 minute tracks/mp3's mixed into each other ripped from a CD OR 15MB-25MB mp3 files as well as whole DJ mixes that are upwards of 70MB-110MB.
is there, some sort of "skipping"? less battery life? long loading time?
please advise

otherwise it's fine
it's on every single cd i've ripped that is a continuous mix separated into multiple tracks. i don't why it does this, but it gets annoying...
The battery life on my iPod seems weak...maybe its just me?

you're weak

Seriously though, the ipod doesn't skip but sometimes it takes a second or two to load a long song into memory so the hard drive doesn't have to spin the whole time and waste battery power. Big song..longer wait. But I wouldn't really call it a long wait.
thanks for clearing it all up. i guess what i'll have to do is just keep my mix mp3's in 15-20 minute intervals and consolidate tracks ripped from a CD and not have to worry about large fileages.
i think i'll definitely be getting an iPod "soon," like a 17" Powerbook-wait kinda soon.
