Not really, but they will probably say that Apple is no longer offering bottled Evian water at the Apple Genius Bar no more.

MOSR.... Truth? nope. Remember all the "insider info" talking about the amazing 1.6Ghz PM's at MWSF? Only slightly better than the amazing iWalk.

I'm not eagerly waiting at all. MOSR is right under Spymac on my list of horrible sites.

Is it just me or does this widespread spewing of G4 specs seem a lot like what happened with the iMac before MWSF? I remember all the rumor sites rambling off G3 based specs that they had received from "reliable sources" and "retailers" and everyone up in arms about it.

Then Steve pulls the rug out and we get G4s and Superdrives.

Could the same thing possibly be happening now, except with G5s being the big shocker? I think this is very possible.

AI and Think Secret have been sucky as well. I'm not defending Mr. Meader but some of his posts are good reads. Especially the ones about his server "troubles."

Yeah I love it when his update consists of a lengthy explanation of why and how his server went down.

    AI has a front page???

Whatever happened to "AI will post more often, no more going a month without an update..." that we heard when AI came back?

I think when it comes to MOSR, a lot of folks around here definitely doth protest too much.

What he does--whether he uncritically publishes whatever comes across his desk or else just makes shit up out of his own head--is no different from what a lot of people around here do. How many people post the latest scoop from some befuddled Apple rep, despite complete awareness that any such "info" is complete fantasy? How many people repeat the same assumptions so many times they begin to believe them?

If Meader has access to any legitimate intelligence on Apple, I've seen no evidence for it. MOSR is entertainment, same as this place (though AI is much more fun). I enjoy reading his predictions, and I especially love it when his page disappears and he posts yet another lengthy explanation about how his dog chewed through the cord on his server and that he's awful sorry about all those people who've paid to sponsor his site and never received an email, his database got kinda lost but he promises to spend the weekend restoring it. Then he guarantees an update tomorrow afternoon, hinting at lots of juicy scoop on the way, and doesn't post anything for eight days. If you set out to create a parody of a Mac rumors site, you couldn't do as well.

Yep, ThinkSecret blew the MWSF big time, they also claimed a employee presentaion of the lame speed bumped G4's for yesterday. That's not very lucky.

At least MOSR is right sometimes. I don't remember AI ever being even close. AI's "rumors" are terrible.

I guess I'm the first to chime in with MOSR updates. A reader dispells the leaked G4 specs from Apple's eductaion site. Also gave info on back orders of current towers.

And another reader says the Apple store was taking down displays and that it wasn't because of new towers.....

Did you guys see the update?:

"... this seems a strong sign that Apple's Pro models are in for revisions in marketing, at the very least"

That made me laugh out loud! That's considered a "strong sign" ?!!!

It was simply some guy saying that he saw some work men in the Apple store. Am I the only one who finds this funny?
