I find it quite funny as well. The e-mail was posted on Jan 23. You think that the guy that was at the store would have gone back the next day to see what changes were made to the store.

HAHAHAHAH so funny because it;s true.. thanks for the laugh.
Yeah I love it when his update consists of a lengthy explanation of why and how his server went down.

Agreed. The current whine is something (still, after how many months?) about sendmail and how they'd rather be using qmail or postfix. Well, use qmail or postfix then, genius! (MOSR doesn't explain _why_ they're persisting with sendmail).
AI and Think Secret have been sucky as well. I'm not defending Mr. Meader but some of his posts are good reads. Especially the ones about his server "troubles."

I know but I feel that sometimes AI and ThinkSecret's are more realistic.

What you "feel is more realistic" has no impact on the authenticity of the story. It would be interesting to see a total tally of 3 rumors sites that have been around the longest (AI, TS and MOSR) to see who (was) prophetic...
BTW, has anyone noticed that ThinkSecret has been posting stuff than taking it offline with no trace of it? I thought they were suppose to be the respectable rumor site?
MOSR says that the Apollo caps out at 1.13 Mhz, the imac G4 @800Mhz w/FSB=100 Mhz means that the Imac G4 runs at 1.13 Ghz with FSB=133 Mhz so the Imac has the new Apollo Chip?? Hmmm...

Funny you should mention that... I was thinking to myself the other day that they seem to indulge in revisionist history quite frequently. A lot of "As we correctly predicted 6 weeks ago..." type stuff, to which my immediate reaction is often "they did? I don't seem to recall that!"

Thinksecret gets more stuff right, but the tradeoff is that it's all insignifigant stuff. Their offline stuff in the archives. Other than that, I don't think so, SpyMacGirl Maybe if you stopped trying to defend spymac while trying to bash every other rumor site, you'd see more.

What, they do...sometimes.

I have to agree, MOSR seems to have really tempered what they post and also subject it to a lot of disclaimers. I really appreciate that they say how much credence the actual source itself is giving the info (in the case of the latest post, 1/25/2002). It seems like they're doing their best to deliver information, not just make sh*t up, unlike some sites. Can you say spymac?

No, I am eagerly awaiting the release of the G5s!
