Color Issues in iMovie3?

Does anyone notice that iMovie3 doesnt render reds very well? or is it just me? i am making a movie from still photos, but every photo that i import that contains bright red, the red part has very big blocky pixels, but the rest of the photo is fine. not sure if it's just since the most recent update of iMovie, since i never noticed this before. i am using decent quality images. when viewing in iPhoto and Preview, the image is not distorted this way. <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />

yes it is... hehe, dont lie.

if ya remind me how to take a screenshot i'll show you one. i get very blocky pixels on the reds. and now i have another problem! i edit the sound levels (and ive dont this plenty of times with no problems) but when i export it to QT the sound editing does not export into the QT full size DV anymore. i dumped the preferences file, which didnt help, and i cant figure out why the damn thing went haywire suddenly. let me try deleting imovie and reinstalling it or something.
