    Does MPlayerX contain the libraries needed for HandBrake to do its job in ripping DVDs? That’s the only reason I’ll continue to keep VLC around.

    I'm not sure about that. In terms of playing videos, I still prefer MPlayerX. Never been to ripping DVDs but thanks for the tip.

    Sounds annoying. Strange; I don't have this issue. Would a clean .plist do anything?
