Yeah. It’s APPLE’S problem that people don’t know how to bathe.
Come off it.
You totally missed the point that sniffers are installed in all Apple stores, and most probably all other stores, to activate ventilation to counter body odour. It is the ones in this store that are installed too high to work optimally.
The sensors don't detect CO, they detect CO2. It's very common in new HVAC systems for large areas and as correctly stated they control the level of fresh air. It's not for diagnostics, its for energy savings. Otherwise they would have to design the system to continuously bring in fresh air corresponding to a exchange rate of the maximum occupancy, using additional energy to heat or cool the air.
Cant control everyone that walks into a store and Apple making efforts to make the experience more pleasant is a big win. Not to point fingers but there are some ethnicity's that do not use deodorant and love high tech. I dont recall it ever getting that bad so I can assume the odor sniffers are working!
As for CO if it gets too high then consumers will get tired. Add some oxygen to keep every levels up and that may lead to more spending.

No. Of course you're not pointing fingers. Not racist at all.
ya... "smells like teenage spirit"... Seriously, the Apple stores are not awful, but they are not great either, so they definitely do need the smell detectors in order to effect the removal of odors...
you know the classic Nirvana song...) ( supposedly that song gets it's title from Kurt Cobain remembering the lead drummer of Bikini Kill perfume (Adidas team spirit)... before courtney love... the girl that broke his heart, and possibly started the downward spiral of Kurt Cobain)

Tallest Skil, I took the effort to highlight the entire thread of the conversation since you seem to loose track of it very quickly.

It really helps to read the article first.

I dont have the time to mudsling exotic slang, but I hope you realise what you were being in the above conversation. Hope you can get over it. Or as you said, come off it.

ah, this will make the stock go down another 10%
And Carl Icahn will buy another $500 million in Apple stock.

Oh really. The commenter lives near the store, has been there, and can confirm that there is indeed a BO problem.
How does that sound like an insult to Apple, to you?
Who did they ask? Some retail person?

Yeah. Like that's only thing relevant about Apple.

"Racist" would be depicting that one race is superior to another. Mentioning a stereotype and an associated race doesn't necessarily cross that line.
I would, however categorize that comment as "insensitive."
I've known a few "geniuses" in my life and they haven't been the most hygienic of people, IMO.
completely totally agree.
That's not a real sniffer in the shot, it's been photoshopped in !
So what will pundits be writing about Apple next - the drainage system sucks or perhaps someone's dog is littering an Apple's store.
Carbon monoxide is fatal. CO2 is also but it takes a lot more to kill you...
Anything new on the horizon?

Most people in the US and Europe don't bathe every day, so I wouldn't be surprised about such BO...a little civilization classes would help.
It would if I were commenting on the article.
