But - young bucks - do not think too badly o' us: we who are in the twighlight o' oor surfing lives. We may sit by the fire on a winter's evening, tragically munching oor greying beards, gazing intae the flames and remembering the long summer's o' oor youth, but while oor wandering auld thochts can still occasionally be grapelled intae focus, we too may still splash oor little corner o' cyberspace wi' the occasional dollop o' grooviness.
30/09/1981, so 20, and still not old enough to drink when I'm in the states. I just love how "the land of the free" imposed a drinking age down on the states with the threat to with-hold highway funds. Ah Democracy.
And Mac O' The Isles, where on this precious stone set in the silver sea, this sceptered isle, are you? I bet you can guess exactly where I am...? And what am I doing sitting here writing this on Raisin Sunday? I should be shot.
Statistically ye should be in Dunfermline Toon, sipping the bluid red wine; or maybe Glenrothes, but I can picture ye in St Andrews, or maybe Crail, Pittenweem or Anstruther, sitting on an auld lobster creel, typing awa' on a trusty auld SE or 7200. Am I richt?
Thanks for the compliment on the nick, but I hit a limit so I had to abbreviate. I'm in St. A's, and just outside the room I'm in, are 300 first years covered with shaving foam. Youngsters nowadays. I'm probably going to buy a Ti book as soon as one comes with a combo drive, but if one isn't out by March, I'll buy an iBook instead.
