Quicken on Mavericks ??
I've tried Quicken Essentials but I'm not happy with it and want to go back to my Quicken 2006 version; however, it won't work with Mavericks.
Meanwhile, I'm using Mint which leaves something to be desired, so I still prefer Quicken.
Boot Camp requires Windows - not for me - and certainly not for just one app.
What's the next best way to use my older version of Quicken?
Thanks

See if this version is right for you:
Note that Quicken Essentials for Mac is required. $ 39.99 plus $14.99 just to go back to an older version; however, a poster on Intuit Quicken Community Forum says it works with Mavericks. FWIW.
In order to transfer Quicken PC files, it's necessary to send them to Quicken Essentials for Mac first.

It's hard to believe what appears to be a glorified spreadsheet can have over 10 million lines of code:

"The Windows version is about 80,000 source files, 10+ million lines of C++ code plus a little C# for the .NET parts."
If they followed proper MVC rules, the UI should be separate from the data code so doing a simultaneous release on the Mac shouldn't be an issue.
The best way for now would be to run the software in a virtual machine. Windows is still needed with that but Bootcamp isn't.

No Personal Finance software seems to be the definitive replacement for Quicken for Windows.
