The golden era of the iStuff...
I was poking around some old bookmarks of mine and came across this stuff:
<a href="http://www.quadmation.com/USBPalm/usb.html" target="_blank">http://www.quadmation.com/USBPalm/usb.html</a>
and

Ahhhh...back when everything was simple and exciting. The colors! The tasty, lickable colors and all the peripherals they inspired from Belkin, MacAlly, Contour, etc.
We were SO happy with slot-loading DVD drives, the new built-in Harman/Kardon speakers, this cool new thing called FireWire and iMovie, etc.
400MHz and 256MB RAM seemed like SO much! And blueberry never looked so good on a muffin as it did on a computer.
And Graphite! Oh, what a beautiful choice for those not into the fruits!
2000 was a very exciting and cool time to be an iMac owner/user.
Such genuine excitement and the sense that the iMac was THE computer to own.
Definitely seems to have died away a bit, hasn't it?
Here's hoping that MWSF (or a special event soon after) returns the iMac to its rightful place as the coolest computer ever made and the proud flagship of our favorite computer company.
