Since iOS will be released at the same time as the next iPhone, why don't they just announce both at WWDC? People are willing to wait anyway regardless when iPhone is announced.

Since when Apple fanbois want other phones? iPhone rarely had technological or feature advance compared to Android phones. Remember 90% of iPhone buyers are current iPhone owners, not just those who pick and choose which one has more features or better value. Do I want an iPhone and end up with Galaxy because it has more features and better specs than iPhone? I don't think so.

I really don't like the antenna cuts on the back plates of those dummies (specially the white/silver). Looks cheap and truly not in Jony Ive's style. The metallic 'insert' wrapped with that 'plastic' frame on bothe ends, is something I couldn't bear to see daily on my phone. I hope this is not the final appearance of the iPhone 6. Otherwise, I hope apple go for an unapologetically plastic 4.7" '6c' as well
They put the power button on the side there. I think the curved style looks nice and being thinner, it shouldn't be as hard to dent as the original iPhone but as the above pictures show, significantly wider and taller than the iPhone 5 at that screen size.
Um… I’m pretty sure that you can say it’s a real mockup, given that it’s designed to be a nonfunctioning device and made by someone who isn’t pretending to have a real product.

I'll be honest and say if the leading features are Healthbook, and dedicated iTunes radio app/icon, I will be disappointed.

I like how that sentence feels, but it’s probably not overt enough for the average moron.
Maybe this is where their wearable category comes in: an iGlove with extended fingertips to be able to use a larger phone one-handed.
One-handed use is mainly important to reach the higher up parts of the screen. If they keep the same width then it's really the top ~1/6th of the phone they need to make accessible. The back button isn't a problem now that they added swipe from the left. Notifications is a problem but perhaps not important enough. The top icon row needs to stay reachable so perhaps they space the icons out more and add the flat line at the top and bottom so you know you can swipe up/down like they have on the lock screen and this keeps the icon rows down a bit.
They can get some stats on hand sizes to see how many people a larger screen affects e.g 3.5" screen suits 100%, 4" screen suits 90%, 4.7" screen suits 60%. It's not a binary issue of one size being perfect and one terrible, it's a balance between what extra size is beneficial vs more cumbersome.
They can make a few cracks about how competing manufacturers put these UI scaling features in rather than designing the phone properly and how this comes from fragmentation between the software developer and hardware manufacturer.
I personally don't think they should go above 4.4" as that's where the width isn't affected vs the iPhone 5. The curved edges look good and would be comfortable to hold. I like the chamfered edge near the display though so the iPad design would be nice. The mockups make it look curved all the way round but the iPad and iPod curve round to a sharp edge:
The mockups are based on a case and the mold. The mold that was pictured was tapered:

Bigger iPhone? Yes please. But surely having the '6' in only larger sizes is going to alienate people that came to Apple to get away from huge handsets. I love the idea of the larger iPhone, but I know many iPhone users that are wondering what they'll upgrade to next as they love iPhones 4 4S 5 5S and 5C.

720P with 316ppi would be plenty. It would easier on the battery, RAM, CPU and GPU as well. Would also keep heat down.
1080P would be better though but certainly more taxing.
