Good Price for A Newton 2100

I'm looking at getting a Newton. I was looking at the 130, but upon checking on eBay, I saw that a 2100 is going for the same price I was going to pay for a 130. What I'm asking is whether a 2100 for around $249, including a leather case, 32mb card, and a 33.6 modem and cables, is a good deal or not. Also, are there any specific ebay sellers I should buy from? Thanks.

    Do you really need a Newton? If you're using some vertical market stuff that was previously invested in Newtons, sure. But isn't 249 a lot to pay for a now 2+ year discontinued machine. You just can't be sure about its life before you got it, and when it does fail who the heck is going to service it? Have some fun instead, spend the money on an iPod.

    $249 is a good price for a Newton 2100 (if it works and is in relatively good condition).

    With those items included if it is in good working condition you are getting an excellent price.



    Generally on eBay 2100s go for $350-550.



    And don't worry about "out moded" technology, fact is a 2100 is still more powerful than any Palm or PocketPC device.
