Trust me, I have a lot of experience in generalizing and I have no problems with stereotyping certain groups.
When Android is compared to iOS, they lump every single Android manufacturer on the planet together VS one company, Apple.

I would agree about having experience as I do as well. Although, not every single user of an Android device is poor. I know of some extremely wealthy people who are extremely smart as well that use Android devices. I also know of some extremely disgusting people who are poor that use iOS devices.
You could easily generalize that Apple users are snooty and a-holes as they think they are better than everyone else and the brand they covet should be the one and only. Reminds me of the mindset of Natzi Germany. You seem to slant towards that way but I won't judge you as I've never met you and I'm sure you're a fine person who is loving to others.
You can do the opposite with Android users and say they are all poor and scum and they think they are better because of the so called open platform and got a better deal. Some are some are not. Most are poor if you expand out worldwide.
When I hang out with a big group if friends we all have different types of phones. They are always iOS and Android and all are flagship high-end but we don't make fun of each other because of what phone they use. Most of my group of friends try out my phone because I always get whatever the latest flagship phone there is on the market. They respect my opinion when they ask what phone they should get because they see me use both iOS and Android and I also ask questions that will fit their needs. Not everyone needs an iOS or Android device.
I don't judge people for what device they use as a whole and it looks wrong that you do.

...and i began converting to Apple product after owning and loving my first iPhone in 2007 (original model; I'm on my second, the iPhone 4). It was a stark contrast to the lifetime of DOS and Windows BS I had suffered thus far. I choose what I spend money on very carefully because I have so very little and have zero tolerance for crap (such as Apple's horrible iOS 7). Oh yeah: I love iPhone/iPad and hate iOS 7 with conviction (I just gave a friend a demo at staples and she agreed that the only reason she could figure it out was because she's used to iOS 5 on the iPhone 1, which I gifted to her, as she's also poor).
I'm certain i could continue bucking various stereotypes and statistical assumptions. Every statistic has its very clear exceptions, some are BS, and stereotypes do more harm than good. Know an individual by experiencing their multitude of individual traits, not by one grand assumption.

When people talk about Apple users, or when Apple users are portrayed in commercials, they're usually always one homogeneous group, that all think the same or are all alike (sheep etc.).
But when I'm talking about Android users, all of a sudden I'm expected to go out of my way and break it down into high end Android vs low end Android?
Sorry, but it's not my job to segregate between different types of Android users, they're all really the same to me, as they all use the same horrible OS. I don't really care how much they paid for their phones.

If you have a lot of money... you can buy an iPhone or an Android phone. You actually have that choice.
Ah, but the measure of a man lies in what he choses in that case. If he choses the iPhone, he is a man of distinction and has cultured tastes and women are drawn to his confident bearing. If he choses the other phone, he is immediately cast among the teaming unfortunates among us with no discernment of what is cool and fashionable. He will likely pick a phone case that is as loud in color as his shirt and decorated with gee-gaws that coordinate with the stains on his shirt-front from last night's beer-infused drunken brawl. He is then doomed to a life alone and friendless except with more of his ilk who attempt to compensate for their lack of manliness by buying oversized android phones and picking fights with their fellow bus-refuse over trifles that could easily be settled by searching the internet... if only he could figure out how to use the cursed device.

I hold low opinions of people who generalize people of any demographic.
This study is funny as people claim you have to separate the high end and low end phones when it comes to market share because it would be way different in the high end market share arena. Which is something I absolutely agree with but when it's a stupid study like this it's OK to group all the high end and low end Android phones together to get a conclusion you want.
This "study" proves nothing if and when you separate the high end from the low end.
