This caught my eye. Apparently Glenda was born with Gender Dyshporia.

No joke.

Glenda Adams plays a pretty key role in the Mac gaming world, so I thought some of you might be interested.

Uh-oh, I hope they don't start making girly games now.

IMG Headline: "Westlake Interactive dumps Castle Wolfenstein and begins a new line of Virtual Barbie Makeover? software."

I dunno...one day your boss is wearing dockers and an Apple T-shirt and the next day wearing a halter top and a skirt...

Interesting interview to say the least...all the best to him...er...her.

    Ha ha ha...

But seriously, this is a bold move (being so public and all) and I support her 100%! I hope others are as open minded as I.

So the real question is, will she be at MacWorld so that I can give a word of encouragement and wish her luck?

It is beyond me as to why people do this.

    I dunno; if I'm changing genders, I wouldn't choose a first name that's 1/2 of an Ed Wood <a href="http://us.imdb.com/Title?0045826"; target="_blank">flick</a>. It's a punchline waiting to happen.

    Good luck to her.

Amazing. I knew another woman who had the same problem, but doctors figured it out when she was in her teens. Go Glenda! I hope you can get through the confusion around you now that you've come this far.

Which brings up the age-old question...

What if you met a beautiful girl/woman...someone you grew intimate with...only to discover something...extra?

    My brain would explode.

    IPM.

I don't know what it is about the gaming industry, but the creator of M.U.L.E. (one of the greatest games of all time) went through the same transformation.

In case you didn't read the interview or her website, its a medical condition. Not everybody is fortunate enough to have a "normal" biology.

Being public about it -- wow, that (if you'll forgive the expression, its the only one that fits) takes balls. All the best Glenda, if you happen to read this.

Oh man! No way!! M.U.L.E. was an awesome game!! Good thing I don't play video games these days, but when I found out about Walter/Wendy Carlos, that was kinda weird.
