I live in the Midlands area (Nottingham, Birmingham and Leicester are easily accessable via the train) and i'm wondering if there is anywhere I can go to see Steve Jobs Keynote.

Do the Applecentres here ever show it? or PC World? (I doubt it but hey)

I remember i went to see the last keynote in the Orange sponsored studios in Birmingham organised by macassist (http://www.macassist.co.uk) but there's no mention of it happening again on the website.

Please does anyone have any ideas?

    I am in UK. I am fortunate enough to have

    a DSL connection and will view it on the below

    URL: <a href="http://www.apple.com/quicktime/qtv/mwsf02/"; target="_blank">http://www.apple.com/quicktime/qtv/mwsf02/</a>;

    Its is 9am PST or 5PM GMT (UK) time.

    I think you should be able to view it on 56k, albeit choppy video or find someone with an ISDN line as DSL is probably not rolled out in the Midlands yet?

    Seriously though I think Apple need to do some more marketing and support in UK. It's really bad at the moment.. When was the last Apple expo here?

    Talibabble,

    yeah there is ADSL and Cable in my town, but its not worth me getting it as i'm due to leave to Uni later this year and I don't want to end up paying for a years worth of ADSL access which I wont be using.

    I'm also wondering if it's possible to tune in to the sattelite downlink from here... A friend of mine has Sky Digital with a standard set top box - is there any way I could 'tune in' on that?

    I'll probably just end up watching it on 56k stream.

    Stockport's easy. There is a huge <a href="http://www.easyeverything.com/"; target="_blank">EasyEverything</a> Internet Cafe in Manchester City Center. It's on St Ann's Square opposite the Exchange theater.

    OH the Irony! I am giving out all this info on how to see it in the UK (I have replied to a similar thread on MacNN too) and I will probably miss it. I am starting a new job on Monday where they don't have amy sort of broadband internet (a real crappy ISDN is all they have), and I will be finishing at about 5.30pm. Too late to leg it to EasyEverything to catch the tail end of the key note.

    There'll still be 2 hours left!

    I finish college at 4:30, but I've never got from Marple to Manchester before. I might come, I might not...
