What is your problem? Why did Apple make it a point with the Mac Pro? Is it because of 4K or what? All I asked was the question. So Thanks for your "fucking" answer. You are a real winner.

You're kidding me, right? The Mac Pro is a professional grade machine.

It's whiners like you that complain Apple hasn't released stuff like they "promised." Apple has maintained products will be released through 2014. It's five+ months into the year. Wait until Nov to complain if they haven't released a thing.

Why should Apple care about the Mac? They don't make any money off it. They would probably be better off scrapping the entire line and focusing on iOS and other projects.

    That was your quote.

Yea. You complained that there was no new Mac Mini followed by what I presume was a sarcastic remark about Apple dropping the Mac. I was explaining why I think that is the case.

On review, I think I might have misunderstood your OP. It's hard to figure out exactly what you were getting at under all the BS.

I tried to have an exchange of ideas and opinions, but all I got was off the cuff profanity and just flat out rude remarks. I believe Apple enthusiasts should behave better. I understand, as the saying goes, that opinions are like AHs everyone has got one but that is our right as Americans. Enough of the patriotic stuff, I did not mean to offend Eddy Cue by implying he was a liar. I said I do not believe Apple anymore. Last year, they said the same basic stuff about something new. Apple is not doing anything NEW as far as behavior. They are just repeating the same line.

This wasn't a hardware conference, it was a developer's conference. The hardware will come later, Bloomberg and CNBC. When has Apple disappointed? What I heard should send shivers through competitors. Already, in my graphics set-up I have continuity through my iMacs, my iPads and iPhones. Diary dates etc. are automatically in my pocket or on my iMacs. By the autumn it looks as though I will have direct voice communication between all my devices. The same with documents and drawings, etc., through the cloud. Already documents magically appear to be edited or mailed wherever I am. Where else can you get such a seamless deal???

I’ve been using Apple products for a least 15 years…

    Doesn’t matter. We don’t care.

Eddy Cue was interviewed by Walt Mossberg on May 28th in a live blog from the Verge. "Later this year, we've got the best product pipeline that I've seen in my 25 years at Apple" Eddy Cue stated.

WOW. Your point is what, exactly? You don’t have a clue what WWDC is, you don’t have a clue what a pipeline is, and you don’t have a clue how long a year lasts. Pro tip: it doesn’t last a week.

It was rumored a low cost iMac was coming as well but Noooo.

If you choose to listen to what idiots have to say, that’s your problem.

Okay. It appears when Apple updates lately, they seem to do a partial job. Apple updated the Macbook Air recently, Why just the processors and not TB2.

Because it’s a consumer device. Stop the FUD.

Same thing with the iMac updates before that  (last year September??) no TB2 ports.

    Because it’s a consumer device.

When they updated the Macbook Pro last year, TB2 was added.

See that word in the name? The second one? That’s why.

It appears that Apple does not have a clear vision for these computers, or it is just beyond the clouds.

Your inability to see their vision ? there is no vision. This is on YOU.

When I said they should merge the two OS's I meant that as a joke.

    Uh… huh.

The platforms are getting to look similar to me. They both have that flat look. The John Ive Look. I am sure if Apple could they would but the different screen resolutions is just one problem.

I believe these forums are for honest and frank exchanges of ideas and opinions not bashing their words. Ask me to explain if you do not agree.

So, again, OH, so they LOOK the same. Well, that MUST mean they should be merged. After all, the ONLY thing we do with them is LOOK at them. It’s not like they have completely different UX’.

I am sure if Apple could they would but the different screen resolutions is just one problem.

No, that’s… the opposite of a problem in this scenario.

Good thing he didn’t say that.

All the PC companies are losing market share except for Apple. Tim Cook has claimed that their market  share is improving despite the low sales.

    Market share ? profit.

All I have to say is Do Not Forget Blackberry.

The world has. And Apple is doing the opposite of what RIM did. What’s your point?

And I’m sure you didn’t offend him directly, because he likely doesn’t care what he reads here from people who don’t have a clue what they’re saying.

I said I do not believe Apple anymore.

Then that’s your problem, not his.

Okay. Keep trying to convince yourself of that.

Thank you for the point by point analysis. I really really do. you are right, Apple does not care about my opinions or yours. You are correct, WWDC is a developers conference but didn't Apple announce hardware last year at the WWDC. So when is it okay to talk about hardware? When Apple says so.

Hey, what they are planning with the OSs sounds great. And the name of the new version of OSX- Yosemite. That is awesome. I hope it all works out.

Yes, I can find what I need with Bing, it's just faster and less annoying with Google. Once I've gotten used to a highly responsive system, I can't accept a sluggish one. The prediction often eliminates the need for me to type more than about four characters of a search string.

No need to cover the creepy factor here other than to say that it's subjective, and I see where you're coming from.

Apple was much better when they cared about the computer and not the iPhones and iPads. No Mac mini update for almost 2 years. No "new" products as advertised. Tim Cook is sending Eddy Cue out to promote these non existent products. Why don't Apple just not do anything with the computers anymore, just the mobile devices. Forgive me people, but I do not believe a thing Apple says anymore. They just lie.

You can laugh or curse at me all you want but my opinion is not based on my "jumpcutter" award merits. Eddy Cue was interviewed by Walt Mossberg on May 28th in a live blog from the Verge. "Later this year, we've got the best product pipeline that I've seen in my 25 years at Apple" Eddy Cue stated.

So my fellow Apple fanatics, I am not a liar. You may disagree and that is different. Eddy Cue did say this.

I was not waiting for a Mac mini exclusively, but that computer has not been updated in almost 2 years. It was just an example. Not as bad as the Mac Pro last year but close. It was rumored a low cost iMac was coming as well but Noooo. Okay. It appears when Apple updates lately, they seem to do a partial job. Hello Jumpcutter,

I'm not sure why a lot of the other posters are being so vitriolic toward you. Your paragraphs above are very lacking in coherent thought and comprehension but I don't see the purpose of the cursing at you. Let me constructively walk you through where your thought process is flawed and then I'll go into more detail about the Thunderbolt 2, which I slightly disagree with the other posters reasoning.

First lets start with your accusation that Apple just lies. Addressing the fallacy in your thought here will also address your illogical conclusion to not trust a thing Apple says anymore. You conclude that Apple has lied due to other sources stating supposition of would be products and treating those sources as if Apple themselves have made the statements. This fallacy is called ipse dixit, meaning He, himself, said it. Another example like this would be, Appleinsider said Apple is releasing a new 4K 80" AppleTV for $200 tomorrow. By projecting Appleinsider's authority as a well known Apple news site to infer that Apple has in fact announced such a product is fallaciousIn your second post you attempt to qualify your position from a quote of Eddy Cue. Linking Cue's statements to Apple lying is simply poor reading comprehension. Here is his quote again with an important piece of information that you seem to have simply ignored. "Later this year, we've got the best product pipeline that I've seen in my 25 years at Apple" -Eddy Cue. I'll also take this moment that this quote does not specify any product or products. So later this year when Apple does roll out new products and some dreamed up figment of a product you expect to be announced, is not announced you can not imply that Apple lied. Unless you have some example of Apple actually lying I see no rational reason that you should mistrust Apple.

Secondly I'll go back to your first quote that states Apple did not deliver anything of substance at WWDC. This is simply your lack of vision and failure to see how the progress Apple announced with nearly every platform, software, and services they deal with lays a foundation for great user experiences with their products. Based on the rest of your two quotes I'll assume that you are indicating the lack of any hardware announcements is why WWDC lacks anything of substance. You again use the fallacy ipse dixit when you stated that it was rumored a low cost iMac was coming, as though Apple had announced such a product would be unveiled at WWDC. You also seem to imply another fallacy of ad verecundiam which is to appeal to tradition by saying you've used Apple products for at least fifteen years and now you don't like the way they are doing business. Their actual business practices of delivering premium products and services for a premium price has not changed much in the last fifteen years. I'll guess that what your sentiment of that is they have changed how they announce their products. This has changed significantly from announcing some hardware along with new software at WWDC and then announcing other new hardware at MacWorld, to focusing on what WWDC is actually for (software development) and announcing various hardware are special events. This is just something that you will have to realize and adjust your expectations accordingly. Speaking of your expectations, maybe you should try to approach these Apple events without any expectations as you seem to have difficulty in rationally building reasonable expectations. For example it's reasonable to expect that Apple will announce a new iPhone sometime in the fall. Its unreasonable to expect Apple to announce a new iPhone & new iPad with a holographic display, a new full fledged AppleTV with a new AppStore, an iWatch, and All new Macs that are all using Thunderbolt 3, DDR4 memory, and Intel's Broadwell CPUs all at once. So if you can't manage to temper your expectations on your own, maybe you should take a break from reading rumor sites and wait until Apple actually makes some announcements.

Lastly I'll discuss what you feel is Apple doing partial updates. Apple does not make or design their Mac CPUs or chipsets, Intel does. So they are largely tied to Intel's release cycle for new models of the Mac lineup. These "partial updates" are product refreshes that take advantage of new pricing or new chips in the same family in between Intel's new product cycle. So this last update for the MacBook lineup, this was a result of Apple taking advantage of Intel refreshing their Haswell CPUs with slightly higher clock speeds. The CPU's are not a new architecture and the rest of the system is the same. I'm not sure how you would expect the same chipset to all of a sudden support a new feature like Thunderbolt 2. The systems you mentioned that have Thunderbolt 2 were released when Apple was able to use a chipset that supported that feature. When Apple announces new models of the MacBook Air, and iMac they will likely support Thunderbolt 2. This seems like it's been a long time for the new models to have support for something like Thunderbolt, but that is in part due to the longer than usual cycle that Haswell has seen. The other three (MacBook Air, iMac, and MacMini) have not had new Models with a new chipset to add Thunderbolt 2 yet. So I somewhat disagree with the others simply saying they only added it for the "Pro" products. However they are correct in that feature being more important to the Pro products. So partially by it being more suited for the Pro products, Apple would have been more inclined to delay the MacBook Pros a couple months to launch them with a chipset that had the feature support geared toward that product. Again, this is somewhat tied to Intel's release schedule. Which is also why the MacPro wasn't launched earlier because they needed the supply of the IvyBridge-E Xeons. As for a new MacMini model, we have seen the introduction of Intel's NUC reference since the last MacMini launch and I'm sure that Apple is at least considering a revamp in this type of package for the MacMini. If they do drastically shrink the MacMini down to the NUC size I'm not sure if it will see an update to Thunderbolt 2 as I don't know what chipset they use in that spec. I wouldn't be surprised that with Apples prowess of flash memory, and Johnny Ive's talent, that we see a new MacMini that is roughly the size of the current AppleTV. This is me speculating, so don't go calling Apple a liar when they don't announce a tiny MacMini. :)

Well I hope that helped you constructively see some of the flaws in your thought process and why it would be unreasonable to mistrust Apple for what you have projected as them lying. I'd re-watch the Keynote again if I were you and really look at the features they are showing you now that you don't have the flawed expectation of seeing new hardware. There are some really groundbreaking advancements, such as Swift, iCloud Family Sharing, CloudKit, and many others.

The editor suggest that it was the media, except Appleinsider, that was wrong with it's predictions. You're just as guilty and it would be good to admit and LEARN from it.

Stop posting rumours. That's not journalism, that just to get readers and advertising money. A good journalist verifies the facts and only publishes when verified and true.

Welcome to the forums.  You'd have picked up on it eventually, but AI's business model is ad-centric.  Posting rumors, even if they turn out to be wrong only benefits them.  It's not a purly investigative journalism site - it's a fun hybrid of tech punditry and rumors.  Though for being more or less as wrong as everyone else this time around I do find that AI often is right-er on analysis than the more mainstream so-called analysts are (Horace Deidu and a very few others excepted).
