Why Apple use "full speed ahead" with their hype?

the new iMac doesn't relate to speed.

No new PowerMacs, no new faster connection.

Why did they use "Full Speed Ahead"

Sounds one of the biggest fu*king lie they have ever made

In what way is that a lie? It's just marketing hype. Jeez, all this complaining about Apple setting expectations too high is getting old. Lets all focus on playing with the new iMacs (going to keep me busy for at least 4 or 5 months!).

G4 in iMacs. Not rocket science. (That should have been one of the hype tags.)

The G4 is stuck at 800MHz and so the iMac is at full speed.

I hope something does come on Tuesday. Not holding my breath thought.

    Leonis, chill bud...

The iMac is very cool... However, I was not "blown away"...

Scott, why are you hoping or holding out for tomorrow? I thought you were through with Macs.

Leonis is right though. Just because the iMac has a G4 it doesn't mean anything. The G4 is related to speed (except for with AltiVec enhanced apps)

Honesty. I am mad. VERY MAD. Because of my purchasing budget will be approved next week and I have to let them know what I am going to buy. Since no new PowerMac introduced that means I will be forced to buy Athlon PCs.

This lesson taught me not to belive the hypes from Apple anymore

I am. Just putting that in there in case a 800+ machine is out on Tuesday.

GF2 in the iMac? Will Apple support that in 2004?

Also wtf does Jobs get off "thanking" us iMac buyers just a short time after he drops support for them.

I didn't think Steve was keynoting CES. Or at least, so I read on <a href="http://www.appleturns.com"; target="_blank">AtAT</a> last week.

He's not. Why did you bring that up?

Then why is everyone waiting for Tuesday? Am I missing something?
