Sequestration required under the Budget Control Act of 2011 will take more than $100 million more out of the program in 2013 if the current Congress does not overcome the impasse over budget cuts and tax revenues by yearend. Those cuts are largely the result of the draconian and unrealistically low budget caps placed by House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-WI) on all discretionary spending, falling particularly hard on the State and Foreign Operations Appropriations Subcommittee with responsibility for embassy security.

For me it was the strange, contorted facial expressions as he lied. It was so obvious it was painful to watch. I felt sorry for him many times because he was a true believer who knew his Emperor was naked. It took a while, but he finally wore himself out.

Impressive. Of course, it might mean that Republicans are busy reforming, making difficult and unpopular decisions, such as opening the borders to more immigration, increasing the tax rates for the rich, reducing the amount of guns in the Nation etc, which would actually be a sign of courage and dedication to the country. Or it might just be that they are closing the borders, waiving taxes on the rich and reducing gun controls, and the People are not happy with such incompetence.
Polls and statistics don't prove much taken out of the political and financial context, and even then, the reading you get out of them depends on your own political views.
