Where the **** do you get the idea that > 50% of this country is Republican?

This has nothing to do with Republicans it has to do with fearless leaders approval rating, according to the Gallup Organization, 48% avg from Jan 20, 2009 to present. For you math delinquents that's 52% disapproval which is >50% thanks in part to the administrations mouthpiece Jay Carney.

Scott Forstall tried to pull a Jay Carney coverup with Apple Maps and look what happened to him. Apple needs someone to be able to say repeatedly "Apple doesn't discuss future products or features" just as Jay would say "I don't about that" lying through his teeth and then be a Guy Kawasaki evangelist about things when introduced.

This would be a shame. One step forward for Jay... one giant leap back for Apple.

I did mention in a previous post in this thread that this was still a rumor, so I'm saving my outrage and controlling my rage for the time being.

Okay, they weren't fully funded. Their funding didn't meet the budget requests. But wait:

The problem wasn't lack of funding, as you predictably parroted Sen. Barbara Boxer. The problem was political decision-making in the Executive.

    You're wrong.

In the 2011 continuing resolution, Congress, at the insistence of the House of Representatives, slashed the president’s request for embassy security and construction and forced another cut in fiscal year 2012. Altogether Congress has eliminated $296 million from embassy security and construction in the last two years with additional cuts in other State Department security accounts.

Sequestration required under the Budget Control Act of 2011 will take more than $100 million more out of the program in 2013 if the current Congress does not overcome the impasse over budget cuts and tax revenues by yearend. Those cuts are largely the result of the draconian and unrealistically low budget caps placed by House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-WI) on all discretionary spending, falling particularly hard on the State and Foreign Operations Appropriations Subcommittee with responsibility for embassy security.

Hey how about this I give you it wasn't the funding & you try to take a realistic look at the world? It can be a dangerous place.

Now you want to respond to the 241 dead marines in Lebanon during the Reagan Administration & how we have always handled these tragedies?

what do y'all know about if he would be a good or bad hire for Apple? Silly boys and girls. He was just doing his job at the white house and he actually did it well.. whether you are for or against the white house... if he does his job well, he may do a great job for Apple..

cast aside your biases and look at the experience he has and the CONNECTIONS...

Maybe they should hire the head of Sammy PR instead ...mas o menos!

I am proud to be anAmerican ...

In the last 30 years, or so -- the most proud I've been was 9/12/2001 ..

Before that was some time during the FDR admin during a parade for the "March of Dimes"

At least he has a thick skin to go to the Whitehouse press room and become a human shield for the organization.
Besides, PR in Apple is for landing on headlines and connection with worthy journalists, to fight current technology review is based on blogger, whose paycheck are from tech. company ad money.
It is time to retire Al Gore for PR and find someone with that kind connection.

Who give's a shit. Yeah, because that is probably the only kind of people that work at Apple, Liberals./s

For me it was the strange, contorted facial expressions as he lied. It was so obvious it was painful to watch. I felt sorry for him many times because he was a true believer who knew his Emperor was naked. It took a while, but he finally wore himself out.

Impressive. Of course, it might mean that Republicans are busy reforming, making difficult and unpopular decisions, such as opening the borders to more immigration, increasing the tax rates for the rich, reducing the amount of guns in the Nation etc, which would actually be a sign of courage and dedication to the country. Or it might just be that they are closing the borders, waiving taxes on the rich and reducing gun controls, and the People are not happy with such incompetence.

Polls and statistics don't prove much taken out of the political and financial context, and even then, the reading you get out of them depends on your own political views.
