once you actully listen to the song youll get it. Apple keeps coming, they will keep coming and coming with tons of "Future Hardware." Apples present Hardware is pretty futuristic in my book.

Everybody also keeps writing off Apple's chances with the future of their hardware and as a company itself...STFU. Apple is going to increase their market share by 3% or more this year, anyone wanna bet?

Dylan put it best.

How many roads must a man walk down

Before you call him a man?

Yes, 'n' how many seas must a white dove sail

Before she sleeps in the sand?

Yes, 'n' how many times must the cannon balls fly

Before they're forever banned?

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,

The answer is blowin' in the wind.

How many times must a man look up

Before he can see the sky?

Yes, 'n' how many ears must one man have

Before he can hear people cry?

Yes, 'n' how many deaths will it take till he knows

That too many people have died?

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,

The answer is blowin' in the wind.

How many years can a mountain exist

Before it's washed to the sea?

Yes, 'n' how many years can some people exist

Before they're allowed to be free?

Yes, 'n' how many times can a man turn his head,

Pretending he just doesn't see?

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,

The answer is blowin' in the wind.

    Bob Dylan is crap.

Apple will not increase their marketshare by 3% this year.

This thread has nothing to do with Future Hardward.

Apple wil increase their marketshare by AT LEAST 3% this year. I also predict that they sell 10 million iMacs in the next 3 years rather than 6 in 3.

Doing so, assuming PC sales remain constant and/or don't rise, would entail more than doubling their sales.

    I'm not that optimistic.

Well something is going on at Apple. Something out of the ordinary. I don't think they are letting the imac get so close to a tower in price and specs by accident. Plus for the first time in many a MW they really said nothing new about Powermacs or their OS X roadmap ( other than the same old clock metaphor ). It makes me think something is going on. Good, bad, I don't know. Something is blowin in the wind and it ain't junkyard dawg.

By the way I like Bob Dylan and it's hardware not hardward.

I tend to agree with you on that count. While not the greatest vocalist in the world - the man's voice drives me up a wall - he is an excellent song writer and lyricist. Anyone who denies this is either a gen-x snow-boarding green-day-disciple type, or just a bonehead.

I deny that Bob Dylan is an excellent song writer and a lyricist.

What, however, does any of this have to do with Future Hardware?

It's so sad but true. I'm really a disaffected postmodernist refugee from a Mountain Dew commercial. Nothing composed before 1997 has any artistic merit whatsoever.

Except the jingle in those Juicy Fruit commercials about getting your skis shined up. That ruled.

I am glad someone is able to comprehend my meaning, which is a deep one.

As for the Dylan "sound" the best way I can put it is that he sings in MORSE CODE.
