This was my first time and it was better than i could hope fore. I went with my wife to check out the new iMac. Everything was clean and orderly, nothing misplaced. Tons of people, people making movies, editinf playlist, listening to music, you name it. All the machines WORKED too. Software well stocked. The kids section was packed with 3-6 year olds. Packed. Good time all in all.

It's great to see a busy Apple Store with people playting around and having fun on the computers isn't it? At Palisades whenever I'm there the kids section is always packed too and the kids look like they're having tons of fun. It's just a great experience going to an Apple Store.

Westfarms is the nearest Apple store to me too (when I'm home) It is also the only one I've been to. Great place those Apple Stores aren't they? I'm really hoping they put one into the King of Prussia Mall in KoP, PA (it is the largest retail space in the country), then I could work there while I'm at school. Here's hoping

Isn't it totally odd to see so many Macs in one store like that? That's what struck me the most when I went to The Apple Store (Buffalo, NY). I was walking around in sort of a daze for a couple of minutes. "What's weird about this?" I was thinking. "It's all the Macs in here!"

    Alright, I'm strange.

King of Prussia Mall was like 20 years ago. It has been dwarfed by the likes of The Mall of America and our beloved Palisades Mall up here in Nyack NY. Sorry guys, KOP looks like a shack compared to these. But yeah, I do agree, its a perfect place for a PA Apple Store.

Oh, EmAn. I'm always at the Palisades store either early in the morning or late at night. So its always empty when I'm there. But thats ok, I get to play with more stuff that way

It's empty a lot of the times when I'm there too. I remember I was there on a Wednesday after school and I was the only one in there. That day there were only 2 salesmen and 1 genius there too.

It's a Mac user Nirvana. I was at the Wiz today and their displays really need the new iMacs. They have a display right by the mall entrance and the new iMacs would look wonderful there. Instead they have a flower power iMac and PowerMac.

The way I understand it is that Mal of America and is a bigger mall (I mean they have a roller coaster in there for crying out loud), but KOP has more actual square feet of retail space, that is, while the mall may not be as big, the amount of space actually taken up by stores is greater. I could be wrong, but it doesn't matter, it's big anyway, and it is an upscale mall, lots of expensive shops. 19087, the zipcode for part of the area right near King of Prussia is, as I understand it, the second wealthiest zip code in the country (and if you've seen the houses around here, you know it), in other words, the people who shop at that mall, can afford Macs, whether they're overpriced or not. And besides, I just really want the chance to work at an Apple store

Thats funny, they say the same thing about where I live, Westchester NY. I had a cousin that lived in KOP and his neighborhood sucked, but so does mine. I wonder how they come up with these "wealthiest" lists. I guess if you put a Rockefellar and Gates in a town it would suddenly become a wealthy area by doing an average. Anyway...what was this thread about again?

I live up the street from where the Atlanta Apple Store is going to be and it's cruel and unusual punishment to have to wait this long. There seems to be a moratoriam in Apple opening new stores and I hope they restart soon.

For Philadelphia, I think a nice place for an Apple Store would be Center City somewhere near Walnut and between 15th and 20th Street. There are lots of people walking there but let's face it, there isn't a whole lot of beautiful shops there. Lots of interesting things, but nothing inviting from the outside. i think they would get many visitors in that area.

Apple REALLY needs these stores. I went to CompUSA the other day and the iPod's display was showing a Firewire symbol. I guess that means it wasn't connected properly. How hard is it to keep a frigging iPod working? Damn them.

Mall of America is one of the biggest malls in the world, followed up by West Edmonton Mall in Canada. <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" />
